Civil Engineer- Roadway Design Lead

Location

The position is preferred as hybrid based in our Duluth or Minneapolis locations. However, fully remote candidates will be considered under the right circumstances if within the following states that LHB is licensed to do business: CO, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA MI, MN, MO, MS, ND, NE, OH, OK, PA, SD, TN, TX, WI, WY

Position Summary:

The responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:

Leading project design for municipal and transportation related projects for public and private projects
• Interact with clients, public, and agencies as needed
• Prepare written reports and project documents
• Ensure LHB QA/QC processes are followed
• Work effectively in a team setting while collaborating with project managers, engineers, and technicians.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program
• 4+ years of professional design experience in roadway and/or municipal design

• Upon receipt of an offer of employment, applicants must be able to successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements that will include a criminal/civil background check and drug screen, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Minnesota or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or Microstation ORD and/or GEOPAK.
• Previous experience working with MnDOT and/or counties & municipalities in Minnesota

Salary Range

• This position's anticipated base salary rage is $80,000-$113,800 annually. Offer will be determined based on the selected candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
