Job summary

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) seeks a civil engineer for the Division of Reclamation in Jasonville. You will draft reclamation plans, perform design work using Carlson Civil Suite, and prepare bid packages for projects generating roughly $25 million annually.

Travel may be required; remote work is not available. Required minimum five years of civil engineering experience, a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, and Licensure considerations in Indiana.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of construction and engineering principles, practices, and techniques.
• Broad knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, codes, rules, and regulations concerned with engineering, construction, environmental protection and facility, mechanical and electrical design.
• Ability to analyze and evaluate complex technical design and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Execute, coordinate, and assist in the preparation of the project, design plans, specifications, and bidding documents.
• Review documents for technical adequacy and compliance with laws and project specs.
• Coordinate work of engineers, contractors, and utilities; conduct site visits and inspections.
