Job summary

Dewberry seeks a Civil Engineer Project Manager to lead major public, private and institutional projects from its Maryland office. The role combines technical design with project leadership for diverse development and infrastructure assignments, typically with multi-disciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate has at least 7 years of civil engineering design experience, strong PM skills, and a PE license. AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience are strongly preferred, with familiarity in Maryland permitting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
  • Project Management experience and ability to lead multi-disciplined teams.
  • At least 7 years of civil engineering design experience; Maryland permitting is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of civil design procedures, agency standards and permitting is required.
  • AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience developing scope, budget and schedule for projects.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
  • Experience with public agencies is required; private sector is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced team with deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with initiative, drive and determination.
  • Experience with Federal Government assignments is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares scope, budget, and schedule for projects or tasks.
  • Manages project budget, schedule and performs technical QC.

Dewberry is currently seeking a Civil Engineer Project Manager to serve major public, private and institutional clients in one of our Maryland offices. The candidate will be responsible for the technical design and management of development and infrastructure projects with a range of construction values and should have at least 7 years of civil related design experience, including project management.

The Site/Civil Engineering Group independently pursues a wide variety of public projects including public building site development, schools, parks & recreation facilities, drainage improvements, resiliency, multi-use pathways and sidewalks, drainage, utilities (both public and private), parking and SOGR (state-of-good-repair) design.
