Civil Engineer Project Manager

What We're Looking For:

Barge Design Solutions is currently seeking a Project Manager for civil site/land development projects in the Private Client Center at our Columbus, GA or Atlanta, GA locations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Business development and project management, including developing proposals, providing project design, negotiating contracts, and attending meetings during all project phases.
  • Develops contracts including subcontracts to comply with Barge terms.
  • Prepares comprehensive Project Management Plans and tracks project budgets, contracts, billing, and schedules.
  • Ensures Quality Program implementation and execution.
  • Reviews project reports and findings; makes modifications as needed.
  • Creates conceptual site plans and designs, provides technical engineering guidance, and resolves project challenges.
  • Acts as the primary liaison between the client and project team, developing project scope and proposals, coordinating events, leading client and internal meetings, and delivering the final project.
  • Occasionally functions as an engineering technical lead on projects.
  • Meets profitability goals aligned with Barge’s strategic plan.
  • Mentors team members and develops employee capabilities.
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with clients, officials, contractors, and others.
  • Sets an example of core values and promotes a positive workplace culture.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil site/land development and project management.
  • PE registration.
  • Strong design and technical credibility.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, graphical).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong team-building and collaboration skills.
