Job summary

Jackola Engineering & Architecture is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with a PE license to join our Kalispell team. You will lead civil design staff on land development and infrastructure projects, collaborating with engineers, surveyors, architects, planners, and designers to deliver practical, high-quality solutions for public and private clients.

Occasional travel for site visits may be required. You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with agencies, and ensure designs meet regulatory

Qualifications

PE license is required.
4+ years of civil engineering design experience.
Strong understanding of site development and permitting processes.
Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficient in communication and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor civil design staff through project design and construction phases.
Develop practical, efficient, constructible civil solutions.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on concepts, plans, specs, and docs.
Coordinate with agencies, clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
Navigate permitting, land use applications, and stormwater requirements.
Ensure designs meet codes, standards, and Jackola quality expectations.
Use software to design grading, drainage, water/sewer, and related systems.
Support construction administration and respond to contractor questions.
Contribute to business development and project budgeting.
