Job summary

Jackola Engineering & Architecture is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer (PE) to join our Vancouver team. You will lead civil design efforts for land development and infrastructure projects, mentoring staff and coordinating with clients and agencies.

Responsibilities include developing constructible solutions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting BD activities while collaborating with engineers, surveyors, and planners. Travel for site visits may be required.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Civil Engineering required.
• 4+ years of civil engineering design experience.
• Strong knowledge of site development and permitting processes.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and collaborate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor civil design staff through design and construction phases.
• Develop practical, efficient civil solutions meeting objectives and client needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to prepare plans and specs.
• Coordinate with public agencies, clients, contractors, and vendors.
• Navigate permits, land use processes, and stormwater regulations.
• Ensure designs meet codes and Jackola quality standards.
• Use Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and related tools for analysis and design.
• Support construction administration and respond to contractor questions.
• Contribute to proposals, interviews, and project budgeting.
• Build strong client and partner relationships.
