Job Description:

Job Summary:

We are looking for a licensed Civil Engineer to work within our project teams of Registered Architects and other licensed Professional Engineers supporting conceptual studies, planning efforts, property evaluations, site works and utility designs, storm water management solutions, city permitting, project management activities, and management of sub-consultants in multiple states.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform due diligence for site selection and site planning activities including preliminary local zoning and environmental evaluations, FAA analysis, etc.
2. Assist in site plan design for industrial facility applications.
3. Complete hydraulic calculations and analysis, and prepare reports acceptable to jurisdictional authorities.
4. Supervise design using analysis software, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and HydroCad.
5. Complete engineering calculations and create designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
6. Create and assemble a complete set of site construction documents.
7. Develop project-specific specifications, interface with cross-functional teams, and prepare permit applications.
8. Attend governmental meetings and workshops at various levels across the U.S. as needed.
9. Stay current with changes in codes and industry standards.
10. Oversee activities of civil consultants (Geotech, Surveying, etc.).
11. Evaluate land surveys, geotechnical reports, wetland delineations, traffic studies, environmental assessments, subsurface surveys, noise studies, wildlife and habitat reports.
12. Help define Site Design Concept documents and perform site and facility condition assessments.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of site design and engineering experience as a Civil Engineer P.E.
• Experience with permitting at various governmental levels.
• Some industrial site design experience.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to interact with government staff, team members, and clients.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
• Experience with field facility condition assessments and hydraulic calculations.
• Ability to produce construction documents and complete site design reports.
• Supervisory skills.
• Willingness to relocate (local candidates preferred; relocation assistance available for highly qualified out-of-area candidates).
• Ability to travel for project requirements.

Education:

• BS Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.

Licenses and Certifications:

• P.E. licensure required.
