Job summary

Fermilab in Batavia, IL seeks a Civil Engineer to plan and execute medium to large civil projects in compliance with DOE orders. You will design, analyze, and document engineering solutions using AutoCAD Civil 3D, coordinating manpower and budgets.

The role requires ABET-accredited education, FE exam or PE eligibility, and 6+ years in civil engineering design or project management, with knowledge of DOT specs.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelors in Civil Engineering required.
• FE Exam passed or eligible to sit for the PE test.
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in civil engineering design or project management.
• Knowledge of Illinois DOT Standard Specifications is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data and perform engineering calculations for designs.
• Produce AutoCAD Civil 3D drawings and designs.
• Develop drainage and utility designs for site and roadway projects.
• Develop specifications and documents for complex engineering solutions.
• Plan medium to large projects from inception to completion and coordinate technicians.
