You will ensure compliance with NFPA, DOE and OSHA standards and provide expertise for design, construction, and renovation projects, focusing on protection systems and safety readiness.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required, with minimum 4 years of engineering experience; higher degrees with 2+ years acceptable.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA codes (e.g., NFPA 13, 25, 30, 72, 101) and applicable DOE/OSHA standards.
• Experience in fire protection system design, maintenance, inspection, and safety program oversight.

Responsabilités

• Oversee Fermilab’s Fire Protection Program and ensure NFPA, DOE and OSHA compliance.
• Review and approve fire protection system plans (sprinklers, alarms, suppression) and submittals.
• Conduct hazard analyses, safety audits, and ensure readiness of fire protection systems across facilities.
