Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Mobile, Alabama office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join our Mission Critical Land Development team. This is an on-site position in Mobile, AL, focused on challenging residential and commercial site development projects.

You will perform site development engineering, project management, and coordination with clients, jurisdictions, and internal teams, delivering plan sets and construction docs while supporting budgets, schedules, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience.
• P.E. license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Experience with site civil design, permitting, and AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• Experience with task management, concept design, and project management.
• Ability to coordinate with clients, attend meetings, and oversee quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management tasks for residential and commercial projects.
• Work on land development site designs for a variety of projects.
• Support budgeting, permitting for land disturbance, and bid package preparation.
• Assist in monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedules.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, jurisdictions, and contractors.
• Build internal and external professional relationships.
