ARCO/Murray seeks a civil engineer in the Austin market to lead land development design efforts within our design/build process. You will perform site due diligence, draft development concepts in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and guide clients through initial project steps.

The role requires 2-8 years of land planning experience in Austin, familiarity with zoning and stormwater codes, and the potential for PE licensure with company support and a $5,000 PE bonus.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2-8 years’ land planning experience in Austin.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience and templates/styles is a plus.
• Ability to perform stormwater detention analysis and site utility design calculations independently.
• Ability to read and understand local zoning codes, stormwater management codes, FEMA floodmaps, and related drawings.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus; ARCO/Murray will support licensure and offers a $5,000 bonus for PE completion.

Responsibilities

• Research and collect site-specific information to initiate the land development process and perform site due diligence.
• Design and draft multi-building land development concept plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D for commercial and industrial uses.
• Prepare schematic site plan, grading, and utility plans to illustrate developability based on constraints.
• Perform stormwater detention analysis, site utility design, and earthwork analysis to inform site planning and cost.
• Meet with internal and external customers to review concept plans and define project direction with Design/Build team.
