Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. in Irvine, CA is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our land development team.

You will work with project teams to create site layouts, grading plans, storm water facilities, water quality BMPs, and utilities for commercial, institutional, and residential clients. You will engage with clients, contractors, and local officials through design, regulatory review, bidding, and construction phases, contributing to projects from concept to grand opening.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering (MS a plus).
• 0–5 years of experience in civil projects.
• E.I.T. or FE certification (or in process).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• Ability to speak and write professionally.
• Experience and knowledge of land development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create land development plans for commercial, institutional and residential clients.
• Design site layouts and grading plans, drainage and utilities.
• Develop stormwater management facilities and water quality BMPs.
• Interact with clients, contractors and officials through design and reviews.
• Support project scope through bidding and construction phases.

Overview

As a Civil Engineer for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), in our Irvine, CA office, you'll work with project teams to create land development plans for our commercial, institutional, and residential clients. From an urban redevelopment site, industrial sites, to a new school project, you'll take part in designing site layouts, grading plans, storm water management facilities, water quality best management practices, and utilities. Interacting with clients, contractors, local government officials, you'll impact the whole project - from conceptual and design phases, through the regulatory review process, bidding, and construction, all the way to the grand opening.

The pay range for this position is between $70,000-120,000 based on experience and location (in addition, CEC offers overtime pay and other great benefits).

Qualifications
