Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in Tucson, AZ seeks a Senior Designer to join our civil engineering team.

You will help create land development plans for commercial, residential, and institutional projects, including site layouts, grading, stormwater facilities, water quality BMPs, and utilities. Collaboration with clients, contractors, and local officials drives projects through design, review, bidding, and construction.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering; MS preferred.
• 5-8 years of professional civil engineering experience.
• Ability to speak and write professionally.
• E.I.T. or P.E. licensure.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or HEC-RAS.

Responsibilities

• Design land development plans for commercial, residential and institutional projects.
• Create site layouts, grading plans and stormwater facilities.
• Develop water quality BMPs and utility designs.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and local government officials.

Overview

As a Civil Engineer for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Tucson, AZ office you'll work with project teams to create land development plans for our commercial, residential, to institutional clients. From a hospital parking lot to an entire lifestyle shopping center, you'll take part in designing site layouts, grading plans, stormwater management facilities, water quality best management practices, and utilities. Interacting with clients, contractors, local government officials, you'll impact the whole project - from conceptual and design phases, through the regulatory review process, bidding, and construction, all the way to the grand opening.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering (M.S. a plus)
• 5-8 years' professional engineering experience
• Ability to speak and write professionally
• E.I.T. or P.E.
• Proficiency in computer modeling software such as: AutoCAD/Civil 3D or HEC-RAS.
