Job summary

GBA Transportation Group is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to assist with roadway, highway, and bridge design. The internship offers hands-on experience in a learning-focused environment during the summer, with guidance from experienced engineers in our Transportation Group.

You will gain exposure to design calculations, plan quantities, and field inspections while developing professional skills and contributing to real projects.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Civil Engineering.
• CAD experience is a plus.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous internship experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and 3D modeling of roadway corridors.
• Support quality control processes and follow client design standards.
• Assist with design calculations and geometric layout.
• Help prepare plan quantities and cost estimates.
• Participate in field assignments such as construction inspections.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplined design team.

We’re looking for a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Transportation Group for the summer in our Chesterfield, Missouri office. This internship offers hands-on experience across a variety of transportation projects, including roadway, highway, and bridge design. Interns will work alongside experienced engineers and gain exposure to real-world projects in a collaborative, learning-focused environment.

What You’ll Do

As a Civil Engineering Intern, you’ll:

• Assist with design and 3D modeling of roadway corridors.
