Job summary

GBA is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join the Transportation Group for the summer in our Chesterfield, Missouri office. This internship offers hands-on experience across transportation projects, including roadway, highway, and bridge design.

You will work with experienced engineers, gain exposure to real-world projects in a learning-focused environment, and develop CAD skills while contributing to plan quantities, cost estimates, and field observations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS or MS in Civil Engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous internship experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and 3D modeling of roadway corridors.
• Support quality control and follow design standards.
• Assist with design calculations and geometric layout.
• Help prepare plan quantities and cost estimates.
• Participate in field assignments such as construction inspections.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplined design team and learn from mentors.

What You’ll Do

What You Bring

• Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Civil Engineering.
• CAD experience is a plus.
