Job summary

CAGE Engineering, Inc. seeks a Civil Engineer Intern to join our design team on real client projects from day one, developing skills in Civil 3D and site design while receiving mentorship and regular feedback.

You will work on hands-on trainings, with weekly mentor reviews, office hours, and opportunities to contribute to live projects in a collaborative, growth‑minded environment in Chandler, AZ.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS in Engineering from an accredited university.
• Familiarity with CAD (AutoCAD Civil 3D) and site design basics.
• Focused, motivated and results oriented with a strong desire to learn.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to project needs.
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and draft land development plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Support design documents and calculations, including code research and site planning.
• Prepare preliminary and final construction documents and permit documents.
• Prepare site, grading, and utility plans for developability.
• Participate in meetings with clients to review concept plans and project direction.
• Attend site visits to gather data used in design.
• Attend project team meetings to discuss timelines and budgets.
• Take part in CAGE trainings and mentor meetings; attend office hours.
