Job summary

CAGE Engineering in Lisle, IL is seeking a Civil Engineer Intern to join our design team on real client projects from day one. You will develop skills in Civil 3D and site design while gaining professional experience through mentor-led trainings, office hours, and regular check-ins with leadership.

Typical duties include drafting land development plans, assisting with design documents and calculations, and participating in meetings with clients and project teams.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a BS in Engineering from an accredited university.
• Familiarity with CAD software.
• Self-motivated, results-driven with strong communication.
• Ability to learn quickly and accept feedback.

Responsibilities

• Design and draft land development plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Support design documents, calculations, and permit submissions.
• Prepare site, grading, and utility plans.
• Participate in meetings with clients and project teams.
• Attend site visits to gather data for design.
• Receive mentorship and participate in trainings.
