The City of New York invites applications for a Civil Engineering Intern in the Division of Infrastructure. This role offers hands-on training across design, drafting, investigations and site inspections under supervision of an Engineer-In-Charge. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and U.S.

work authorization. A valid driver’s license is required; a personal vehicle is optional.

Formación

• A baccalaureate degree in civil engineering from an accredited college.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
• Valid driver’s license required; personal vehicle optional.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills emphasized.
• Familiarity with NYC DOT/NYC DEP specs, MUTCD and AASHTO standards.

Responsabilidades

• Provide hands-on training and contribute to engineering tasks from moderate to complex.
• Conduct research studies, investigations and assessments related to engineering functions.
• Perform civil engineering tasks of moderate complexity under supervision of an Engineer‑In‑Charge.
• Engage in design, drafting, engineering investigations, cost estimation, specification writing, structural calculations, field surveys and site inspections.
