Assist with design and 3D modeling of bridges using Civil3D, AutoCAD, and MicroStation; learn field inspections, plan quantities, cost estimates, and design calculations, mentored by experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS or MS in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Excel software is preferred.
• Experience with transportation and bridge related projects or internships is preferred.
• 27 GPA strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and 3D modeling of bridges.

• Assist with design calculations and geometric layout.
• Help prepare plan quantities and cost estimates.

What Youll Do

• Help prepare plan quantities and cost estimates
• Participate in field assignments such as construction inspections
• Collaborate with a multi disciplined design team
• Engage in an active learning environment with mentorship from experienced engineers
• Other duties as assigned

What Youll Bring

• Pursuing BS or MS in Civil Engineering or other related field from accredited program
• Experience with AutoCAD and Excel software is preferred
• Experience with transportation and bridge related projects or internships is preferred
• 27 GPA strongly preferred
• Finished at least two years of school
• Involved in campus community and other volunteer activities and or organization
• Strong communication skills both oral and written
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit stand walk around the office for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
