ECM Consultants is seeking a Civil Engineer Intern to perform a full range of engineering functions, including analysis, troubleshooting, existing-condition assessments, planning, engineering studies, scope-of-work development, cost estimating, design and construction document review, and project schedule review. In this role, you will prepare plans and specifications for construction, maintenance, and repair projects while supporting public health, safety, and welfare through strong quality assurance.
This position involves a combination of professional office and field work. Field assignments may involve varying weather conditions, temperatures, elevated noise levels, and other non-standard environmental conditions depending on project requirements. Employees are expected to follow all applicable safety requirements and maintain a professional, safety-conscious approach while working on project sites.
This position is based in Shreveport, Louisiana, supporting the Jimmie Davis Bridge Design-Build Project. The Civil Engineer Intern will primarily support field inspections, engineering documentation, construction support, and project closeout activities while gaining practical experience in transportation infrastructure design and construction. The project currently has approximately 18 months remaining.
