Job summary

Sambatek, LLC in Raleigh, North Carolina is seeking a Project Engineer to support commercial land development from planning through construction. You will work with experienced engineers on site design, grading, utilities, and stormwater, gaining hands-on experience across project milestones.

This entry‑level role requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, EIT preferred, and 0–3 years of experience. The position is on-site with flexible arrangements and offers hourly pay with overtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required or in progress.
• EIT certification is preferred for career progression.
• Experience with Civil 3D or site design is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering fundamentals to prepare project documents at milestones.
• Assist with site design including layout, grading, utilities, and stormwater.
• Prepare plans from concept through construction documents.
• Coordinate design with clients, contractors, geotechnical consultants, surveyors.
• Review survey data and incorporate into designs.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and contribute to reports.
• Participate in project meetings to keep work moving forward.
• Learn and apply local, state, and industry standards to designs.
• Collaborate with engineers and surveyors to develop practical solutions.
• Grow technical and project management skills through mentorship.
