Sambatek, LLC seeks a Project Manager to lead land development engineering projects with a client-focused approach. You will coordinate planning, design, and execution on commercial sites, guiding a multi-disciplinary team to meet schedules and budgets.

The role emphasizes business development by pursuing opportunities with existing clients and maintaining strong relationships, while ensuring quality deliverables and adherence to company standards. On-site in NC with flexible arrangements.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• PE license in North Carolina or ability to obtain is required.
• 5+ years of consulting experience in land development, commercial focus.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to manage priorities.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and work collaboratively with teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the planning, design, and implementation of commercial land development projects.
• Manage project scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring QA/QC and company standards.
• Coordinate design efforts with clients, contractors, architects, and other consultants; provide day-to-day guidance to staff.
• Engage with clients regularly to provide updates, manage expectations, and maintain relationships; represent Sambatek at meetings.
• Support business development by identifying opportunities and assisting with proposals.
• Proactively manage project finances, including change orders, invoicing, and collections support.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality and milestones; contribute to project objectives and resource planning.

Summary

We are currently seeking a Project Manager to work with a team to execute land development engineering projects. As a project manager, this individual will be responsible not only for managing and coordinating projects but also identifying and securing new projects with existing clients in the land development market.

In addition, this person will be responsible for the management and oversight of project key performance indicators such as scope, revenue, profitability, quality, and utilization. We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit that has the desire to grow with the company!

• Pay Rate Type: Salary (Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications)

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and implementation of commercial land development projects
• Manage project scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures
• Coordinate design efforts with clients, contractors, architects, and other consultants
  Provide clear and effective day-to-day guidance to project team staff and assist with workload planning and task assignments
• Engage with clients regularly to provide updates, manage expectations, and maintain strong working relationships
  Represent Sambatek at project meetings with municipalities, clients, and external stakeholders
• Support business development by identifying new opportunities, building client relationships, and assisting with proposal preparation
• Proactively manage project finances, including preparing change orders, invoicing, and supporting collection efforts
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and are completed at key milestones
• Contribute to the achievement of QA/QC goals and help define project objectives and resource needs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in North Carolina (or ability to obtain)
• 5+ years of consulting experience in land development, with a focus on commercial projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to exercise independent judgment
• Proven ability to manage time effectively and adapt quickly to shifting priorities throughout the day
• Skilled in mentoring and supporting the professional growth of junior staff
• Demonstrated conflict resolution skills and a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset
• Committed to delivering high-quality work and building lasting client relationships

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Work is primarily performed in an office environment
• Ability to occasionally move equipment/objects weighing up to 10 pounds
