Job summary

Sambatek, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer in Raleigh, NC for on-site, entry-level work focused on commercial land development. You will assist with site layout, grading, utilities, and stormwater, growing through mentorship and hands-on project exposure.

Ideal candidates have a Civil Engineering degree, 0-3 years of experience (internships included), and an interest in learning Civil 3D and site design. Start date targeted for May 2027 with hourly pay and overtime eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required or pursuing.
• EIT certification preferred.
• 0-3 years civil engineering experience, internships count.
• Familiarity with Civil 3D; site design or grading exposure helpful.
• Interest in commercial land development and site design.
• Understanding of grading, utilities, stormwater concepts.
• Strong organizational and teamwork skills; eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering fundamentals to produce project documents at milestones.
• Assist with design of commercial land development: site layout, grading, utilities, stormwater.
• Prepare plans from concept to construction documents.
• Support design coordination between clients, contractors, and consultants.
• Review survey data and incorporate into plans.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and assist with reports.
• Participate in project meetings to keep projects moving forward.
• Learn applicable standards and apply them to designs.
