Job summary

AE2S is seeking a Civil Engineering in Training (EIT) in Sioux Falls, SD. You will work under project management and engineers to gain skills in report prep, design, plans, and construction administration with a focus on professional development.

Responsibilities include observing and administering water and municipal projects, assisting in plans and estimates, and supporting surveyors in field work, with occasional travel and onboarding requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Fundamentals in Engineering certified
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience
• 2+ years' experience working on civil engineering related projects
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to travel as required
• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search)

Responsibilities

• Perform construction observation and administration on water and municipal related projects
• Assist Project Manager with the development and preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates
• Assist Project Managers in design and construction of private development site design, sit grading, city streets, city water and sewer infrastructure, and municipal facilities
• Assist professional surveyors with field work on crews performing data gathering for designs or construction staking
• Assist in preparation of technical reports
• Occasional travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town
