Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions, LLC seeks a Civil Engineer III to provide design, construction, and maintenance support for facilities at the NASA Johnson Space Center and White Sands Test Facility in Las Cruces, NM.

The role requires a B.S. in Civil Engineering (ABET), 8+ years of design/requirements experience, and U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain clearance. Preference given to NM-licensed engineers or those eligible for reciprocity. Travel and field work may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from ABET accredited university program.
• Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience as a Design Engineer or Requirements Engineer in civil engineering.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite and Adobe Acrobat at an intermediate level.
• U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain the required clearance.
• Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Preference for Registered Professional Engineer in NM or reciprocity within introductory period.
• Experience working on government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Design, review, and manage civil engineering projects for facilities at NASA Johnson Space Center and White Sands Test Facility.
• Prepare scopes of work, specifications, and cost estimates for future projects.
• Coordinate with design teams, construction, and field personnel; respond to RFI and change orders.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local codes and standards; participate in design review processes.
