Job summary

Anne Arundel County Government seeks an Engineering and Site Development Reviewer (Engineer III) to perform detailed reviews of road, stormwater, and site development plans for compliance with county, state, and federal codes. The role supports fast-paced project reviews and requires independent judgment and broad engineering knowledge.

Leads design reviews, communicates findings to owners and consultants, and collaborates with multiple county agencies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; four or more years of professional engineering experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; valid non-commercial driver’s license.
Experience with residential/commercial subdivisions and site development reviews.
Familiarity with stormwater regulations, road design, and utility coordination.

Responsibilities

Review road and storm drain plans for permits and subdivisions.
Review stormwater management plans and downstream analyses for code conformance.
Review Preliminary and Site Development Plans and grading/building permits.
Coordinate reviews with Planning and Zoning and other agencies.
Provide independent engineering evaluation and sound recommendations.
