Job summary

Progressive Companies seeks a technically adept engineer to stamp designs and manage PE-stamped sets in line with Performance Based Design standards. You will plan schedules that reflect permitting realities and lead regulatory reviews for complex projects.

You will design site systems, coordinate multiple disciplines, and oversee construction administration with a strong focus on accuracy and safety. Mentorship of junior staff is expected.

Responsibilities

• Stamp designs and produce PE-stamped sets meeting Performance Based Design standards.
• Build work plans and schedules accounting for permitting timelines and scope changes.
• Own code and regulatory review on medium to high complexity projects; lead zoning, environmental, and safety code reviews.
• Design site systems including stormwater, utilities, grading, and foundations; evaluate soil mechanics.
• Run construction administration: manage RFIs, shop drawings, field inspections, and material testing.
• Coordinate disciplines and outside consultants; lead project team meetings; verify returned work.
