Job summary

RRC is seeking a Civil Engineer II to advance renewable energy projects from its Austin/Round Rock office. The role involves developing civil designs, site development, grading, drainage, and foundations, with coordination across teams and clients.

The candidate should have 3–5 years in civil eng (renewables preferred), PE license is a plus, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS. This full-time position requires contributing to on-time project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of civil eng experience, renewable energy or infra preferred.
  • PE license preferred or within timeframe.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and related software.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and review civil designs for renewable energy projects (site development, grading, drainage, foundations).
  • Perform calculations, analyses, and simulations to optimize components.
  • Ensure designs comply with regs and best practices.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare engineering reports, documentation, and project summaries.
  • Create/review drawings using CAD tools.
