Job summary

Qualifications

• Professional Engineering license
• Valid Driver’s License at time of appointment.
• Experience using Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provides engineering guidance to the permanent signing unit and supervises staff.
• Reviews permanent signing plans for conformance with guidelines and standards.
• Investigates new signing materials and technologies and updates standards.
• Coordinates development and updating of the Highway Sign Manual.
• Collaborates with Wildlife and Parks, and Travel and Tourism on signing.
• Attends trainings and provides technical guidance to personnel.
