Job summary

Zoom Hire Solutions seeks a motivated Civil Engineer I (PE) in Fort Worth, TX, to lead elements of civil infrastructure design and project coordination on-site. You will perform independent design work under supervision, prepare plans, specs, and cost estimates, and ensure code compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license (or can obtain via reciprocity), has 4–8 years of experience, and is proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydraulic modeling.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree required; Master’s a plus.
• Active Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain via reciprocity.
• 4–8 years of progressive civil engineering experience after graduation.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater/hydraulic modeling software.
• Strong knowledge of AASHTO, MUTCD, Texas/local codes, TDLR/ADA; permitting awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead small-to-moderate projects or key components of larger projects.
• Perform independent design, analysis, and project coordination under supervision.
• Prepare calculations, layouts, construction plans, specs, and cost estimates.
• Review and coordinate engineering deliverables for accuracy and compliance.
• Sign and seal engineering documents as required.
• Coordinate with survey teams to incorporate field data into designs.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and applicable modeling software.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local codes and standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Support permitting activities and construction-related coordination.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and problem resolution.
• Communicate technical information clearly to clients and team members.
