Bowman Consulting in Reno, NV seeks an entry-level Civil Engineer I to join our team and help evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques on moderately complex projects.

The role involves working with senior engineers, clients, and agencies to conceptualize initial design approaches and complete civil design work for land development, with strong emphasis on collaboration and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline required at time of employment.
• EIT preferred.
• Entry level position; experience in civil engineering a plus.
• Land Development engineering experience and skills; large- and small-scale drainage and BMP design preferred.
• Experience with Civil3D, AutoCAD, and related design software in professional or academic settings.
• Familiarity with reading construction plans and standard civil engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize the initial civil design approach for assigned phases of large land/site development.
• Complete civil engineering work for assigned phases of large land/site development.
• Assist with developing plans, specifications, and reports.
• Perform design calculations using computer-aided software and provide technical support.
• Coordinate design aspects, field investigations, and problem solving with team and clients.
