Job summary

City of Woodstock Illinois is seeking a Civil Engineer I/II to join the Engineering and Operations Department. This role assists with planning, design, construction and maintenance of the City’s public infrastructure and capital projects under the supervision of the Engineering Director.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree with 2–5 years of experience; FE exam preferred. A valid driver’s license is required; licensure as a Registered Professional Engineer in Illinois or eligibility

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Two (2) years of civil engineering experience for Civil Engineer I.
• Five (5) years of civil engineering experience for Civil Engineer II; Illinois PE license or eligibility within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, designing, construction and maintenance of public infrastructure and capital projects.
• Assist with project management under supervision of the Engineering Director.
