City of Woodstock Illinois is seeking a Civil Engineer I/II to join the Engineering and Operations Department. This role assists with planning, design, construction and maintenance of the City’s public infrastructure and capital projects under the supervision of the Engineering Director.
Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree with 2–5 years of experience; FE exam preferred. A valid driver’s license is required; licensure as a Registered Professional Engineer in Illinois or eligibility
JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Civil Engineer I/II in the Engineering and Operations Department. This position is responsible for assisting with the planning, designing, construction, and maintenance of the City's public infrastructure and capital improvement projects and assisting with project management under the supervision of the Engineering Director.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:
The starting salary for Engineer I, a full-time/exempt role will be commensurate with experience, with a salary range of $86,006.17 - $94,598.40 (Grade P). Engineer applicants with a P.E. and five (5) years of relevant experience will be considered for the higher graded position of Civil Engineer II (Grade Q), with a salary range of $94.568.45 - $108,763.20. Additionally, an excellent benefits package is provided including, but not limited to, group health insurance and IMRF pension.
