Job summary

Three Notch Group, a respected ENR-design firm with offices in the Southeast, seeks an Engineer I to support its Civil Practice. You will assist with design computations, plans, reports, and cost estimates for civil projects under supervision, developing skills toward licensure.

Ideal candidates demonstrate teamwork, attention to detail, and a drive to build technical proficiency while serving clients and contributing to project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
• Zero to two years of related civil engineering experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel, including occasional overnight travel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist with client communication related to assigned projects and attend client or public meetings, including occasional evening meetings.
• Use computer-aided engineering and design software to prepare engineering plans, design documents, computations, reports, and quantity estimates.
• Assist with the preparation and modification of reports, specifications, construction documents, studies, permits, and designs for civil engineering projects.
• Perform work under the close and immediate supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer, developing increasing technical proficiency and independence.
• Review construction sites to monitor progress and perform other duties required by the contract documents.
• Apply project and practice quality-control requirements and take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of assigned work.
