Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer I for our Honolulu, HI office. You will develop analytic and design skills, conduct engineering work, and create drawings under supervision as you contribute to project teams.

The role supports a hybrid work model with opportunities to work on infrastructure projects in water, environment, energy, transportation and buildings. A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a valid driver’s license are required.

  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to visit project sites and offices.
  • Must pass Motor Vehicle Records review.

Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer I for the Honolulu, HI office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Builds analytic and design skills.
  • Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
  • Performs work per agreed budget and schedule under supervision.
Minimum Requirements
  • Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or higher in civil engineering and/or related experience or education.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.
  • As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
Preferred Qualifications
  • General knowledge of architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Some Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Knowledgeable in the Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
  • Well organized and possesses an innovative mindset.

Compensation

The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $70000 to $80000.
