Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer to join the Southwest Dams team, delivering hydrologic and hydraulic designs for dams, mines, and water facilities. The role involves modeling, cost estimates, and reporting while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across regional offices.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, a valid driver's license, and the potential to obtain a PE license within a year.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Civil Engineering with 4+ years of related experience or equivalent experience/education.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to pass MVR per policy.
• Preferred PE license or ability to obtain within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design of regional mine sites, power plants, and dams including spillways and detention features.
• Create conceptual layouts, perform hydraulic/hydrologic calculations for channels, headwalls, and ponds.
• Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models using HEC-HMS/HEC-RAS.
• Prepare project proposals, reports, and regulatory documents.
• Engage with regional teams and nurture client relationships.
