Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (required)
• Previous internship or 1+ years of professional engineering experience (preferred)
• Engineering in Training (EIT) certification preferred
• Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS or Storm Sewers a plus
• Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Build practical engineering skills including grading, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, permitting, and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
• Help design ecological restoration projects reconnecting streams to floodplains, restoring wetlands, improving aquatic habitat, and enhancing water quality
• Work with Project Managers, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies through the project lifecycle
• Gain experience from field investigations, drone-assisted site assessments, conceptual design, and construction oversight
