Job summary

GRAEF is offering a 2-student Co-op program at our Milwaukee Headquarters starting Summer 2027.

You will participate in 4 Co-op sessions across civil engineering disciplines, contributing to real-world projects in sewer and water systems, environmental engineering, site development, and municipal engineering.

Qualifications

• Sophomore or approaching sophomore status with a projected 2030 graduation.
• Willingness to learn quickly and take initiative within a team.
• Prior internship or related work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support real engineering projects across civil disciplines.
• Engage with project teams and mentors to learn hands-on skills.
• Gain exposure to sewer/water systems, site development, surveying and inspection.

We have an exciting opportunity for 2 students to join our team of professionals through a Co-op experience at our Milwaukee Headquarters office, beginning in Summer 2027.

As a Co-op student, you’ll gain valuable, hands‑on experience through 4 Co-op sessions. You’ll have the opportunity to explore a broad range of civil engineering disciplines and contribute to real‑world projects involving sewer and water systems, environmental engineering, site development, municipal engineering, surveying, construction inspection, and street, highway, traffic, and bridge design. This is a great opportunity to build your technical skills, gain exposure to different areas of civil engineering, and learn from experienced professionals while working as part of a project team.

We are looking for students who meet the following qualifications:

• Be in or approaching sophomore status, with a projected graduation year of 2030, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Construction, or Environmental Engineering.
• Ability to learn quickly, grasp new concepts, and take initiative.
• Enjoy a balance of independent work and collaboration with a project team.
• Prior internship or related work experience is a plus.
• Completion of a Surveying course and experience with Civil3D software is a plus.
