Job summary

GRAEF in Chicago is offering an internship beginning in the summer of 2027. The intern will learn civil engineering duties related to site development, municipal engineering, transportation engineering and construction inspection, working with a project team.

We seek current sophomores pursuing a bachelor’s in Civil, Construction or Environmental Engineering. Surveying coursework and prior internship experience are a plus; ability to learn quickly and balance independent tasks with team effort

Qualifications

• Current sophomore standing while pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Construction or Environmental Engineering.
• If you have taken a Surveying course, that would be considered a plus.
• Prior internship experience is a plus.
• Ability to grasp new concepts and eager to learn new things.
• Enjoy a balance of independent tasks and working with a project team.
• Hourly pay rate is between $22-$24/hour.

We have an exciting opportunity available for a student who is interested in joining our team of professionals through an Internship experience. We have an opportunity in our Chicago office located in the President's Plaza beginning in the summer of 2027. Our new intern will spend time learning civil engineering duties related to site development, municipal engineering, transportation engineering and construction inspection.

We are considering students who meet the following minimum qualifications:

• Current sophomore standing while pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Construction or Environmental Engineering.
• If you have taken a Surveying course, that would be considered a plus.
• Prior internship experience is a plus.
• Ability to grasp new concepts and eager to learn new things.
