LMI is seeking a Civil Engineer in Washington, DC, to assist US Customs and Border Protection in managing facilities. Responsibilities include providing engineering guidance for capital and maintenance projects, reviewing designs, and acting as a technical advisor.
The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, and be proficient in Microsoft applications. A PE license or PMP certification is desirable. Target salary range is $110,000 - $130,000.
This position will serve as a civil engineer responsible for assisting US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Facilities and Asset Management (OFAM) in the development and execution of a large facilities portfolio in support of CBP’s front‑line business partners. Work will involve providing engineering guidance and input to new capital projects, smaller maintenance and repair (M&R) projects, onsite issues and activities, and the review of the work of other consultants and contractors. The individual will support the life cycle planning and execution of the planning, design, construction, maintenance and repairs for facilities and infrastructure along the international borders of the United States.
The candidate shall have strong communication skills, a demonstrated ability to deliver “innovative solutions” and possess the skill of “creative problem solving.”
Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance use, and employment.
Target salary range: $110,000 - $130,000
