SHIV SOFTWARE EXPERTS LLC in Orlando, FL, is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our land development team. This in-office, full-time role involves designing water, sewer, and stormwater systems from concept through permitting and final design.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on diverse residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use projects, with emphasis on grading, drainage, and regulatory compliance. A PE license is not required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of civil/land development design experience.
  • Experience with grading and drainage design; ICPR4 proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Design utility infrastructure including water, sanitary sewer, and stormwater.
  • Prepare grading and site development plans for land development projects.

Civil Engineer – Land Development in Orlando, FL

Salary: DOE

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to join our growing land development team. This full-time, in-office position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use development projects from initial concept through permitting and final design.

This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, managing multiple projects, and contributing to high-quality land development solutions. A Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is not required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design utility infrastructure, including water, sanitary sewer, and stormwater systems.
  • Prepare grading, drainage, and site development plans for a variety of land development projects.
  • Perform stormwater analysis and modeling using ICPR4.
  • Coordinate project design and permitting with municipalities and regulatory agencies.
  • Support and assist with the planning and execution of land development design projects.
  • Manage multiple projects while meeting schedules, budgets, and project deadlines.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, surveyors, and internal engineering teams.
  • Attend project meetings, client meetings, and public hearings as required.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards, regulations, and local codes.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years of civil engineering or land development design experience.
  • Experience with grading and drainage design.
  • Proficiency with ICPR4 for stormwater analysis and modeling.
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD; experience with Civil 3D is a plus.
  • Familiarity with land development design principles and permitting processes.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use land development projects.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and municipal permitting requirements.
  • Experience coordinating with regulatory agencies and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is a plus but not required.
