Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a full-time Civil / Municipal Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team delivering civil, municipal, and environmental projects for local communities. The role collaborates with CAD Technicians, Construction Observers, Land Survey Chiefs, and office staff across project phases.

Ideal candidates have a Civil or Environmental Engineering background, extensive design experience, and a PE license or plan to obtain within a year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
• 10 years of civil engineering design experience preferred.
• Iowa PE license or ability to obtain within 1 year preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed technical engineering reports.
• Prepare or modify plans, specifications, construction schedules, permits, and cost estimates for public works projects.
• Work with Construction Observers/Resident Technicians during all facets of construction.
• Assist Project Manager in completing project within budget and on schedule.
• Client contact including attendance at board or council meetings.

We are currently seeking a full-time Civil / Municipal Engineer. Our team works with local communities on a wide range of civil, municipal, and environmental projects. We are looking for a Professional Engineer who would work with CAD Technicians, Construction Observers, Land Survey Chiefs, and office staff in various capacities.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previousroadway,stormsewer,sanitarycollectionsewersandwaterdistributiondesignexperiencedesired.
• Strongwrittenandverbalcommunicationskillsrequired.
