Actalent is seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to join our team in Fort Wayne, IN for a contract-to-hire role. The position focuses on site observations, field documentation, and analysis of existing sites within a full-service A/E environment.

The role involves developing schematic designs, coordinating engineering systems, and supporting land/site development for education, higher education, and commercial projects. There is strong growth potential and a collaborative Civil Team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field is required.
• 1–2+ years of experience in site/civil design with knowledge of codes and regulations.
• Experience with subsurface utilities design, site grading, storm sewer systems, and land disturbance permitting.
• EIT certification or in the process of obtaining it.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and familiarity with stormwater, drainage, and grading systems.

• Possession of EIT certification or in the process of obtaining it.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and familiarity with stormwater, drainage, and grading systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Desire to obtain a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience or interest in project management is advantageous.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
