Job summary

YU & Associates is an established engineering firm in Bergen County, New Jersey, seeking a civil engineer with strong technical skills. The candidate will work on mixed-use developments, residential, higher education, and transportation projects, preparing construction plans, specifications, reports, and proposals.

Requirements include a BS in Civil Engineering (MS preferred), EIT preferred, and a minimum of 3 years in civil consulting and field inspection, with proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering; MS preferred.
• EIT strongly preferred.
• Willingness to attain P.E.
• Minimum 3 years of civil consulting and field inspection experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation V8i and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to create custom maps using GIS and CADD.
• Understanding of basic engineering theories and principles.
• Understanding of researching engineering/design issues, evaluating alternatives, and presenting recommendations.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Complementary skills relative to staff.
• Field and office assignments as required.

Job Overview

YU & Associates is an established Engineering Firm located in Bergen County (North Jersey), New Jersey. The Candidate will be working on both small- and large-scale projects and should have diverse civil engineering experience in the New York Metropolitan area. The candidate will be working on designing mixed‑use developments, residential, higher education, transportation, and other exciting land development projects. The successful candidate must possess strong technical skills. The candidate will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of construction plans, specifications, technical reports, and proposals.
