Job summary

Kleinfelder is hiring a full-time Civil/Municipal Engineer to join our Illinois team. You will work with CAD Technicians and field staff on civil, municipal, and environmental projects, preparing technical reports and plans while ensuring projects meet budget and schedule.

A PE license or the ability to obtain it within a year is preferred. Minimum 10 years of civil design experience and strong written and verbal communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering is required.
• Minimum 10 years of civil engineering design experience preferred.
• Illinois PE license or ability to obtain within 1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed technical engineering reports.
• Prepare or modify plans, specifications, construction schedules, permits, and cost and quantity estimates for public works projects.
• Work with Construction Observers/Resident Technicians during all facets of construction.
• Assist Project Manager in completing project within budget and on schedule.
• Client contact including attendance at board or council meetings.

We are currently seeking a full-time Civil / Municipal Engineer. Our team works with local communities on a wide range of civil, municipal, and environmental projects. We are looking for a Professional Engineer who would work with CAD Technicians, Construction Observers, Land Survey Chiefs, and office staff in various capacities.

Requirements

• Previous roadway, storm sewer, sanitary collection sewers and water distribution design experience desired.

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Illinois Pay Transparency Law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary Range:$91,000 - $129,043.
