Location: Waterbury, Vermont

Job Description

We are seeking an early career Water Resource Engineer eager to grow professionally. Based in Waterbury, Vermont, you will work on projects including stormwater management, river restoration, dam safety, floodplain management, and flood mitigation. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on fieldwork, site assessments, design, permitting, construction oversight, and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop technical drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Prepare maps and conduct spatial analysis using GIS.
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and computations.
  • Conduct field measurements and site assessments.
  • Prepare technical memorandums and reports.
Physical Demands

Fieldwork involves outdoor activities in various environmental conditions, including wading in rivers, walking, climbing, and occasional lifting up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in civil or environmental engineering.
  • 0-5 years of experience in water resources projects.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS.
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling is a plus.
  • Technical writing skills are a plus.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.
