Job summary

EXP in Miami (Coral Gables), Florida seeks a Civil Designer to contribute to building performance and infrastructure initiatives within the Living & Learning Division. You will assist in creating and updating engineering documents for residential and education facilities, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in civil engineering, attention to detail, and willingness to work outdoors; 3D modeling is a plus and MS Office skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• 3D Modeling knowledge is desirable but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with emphasis on quality work products.
• Willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
• Active involvement in professional societies is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and modification of engineering documents including reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates and design plans.
• Perform analysis and design calculations according to applicable design codes; use computer programs as appropriate.
• Prepare alternative design solutions and conceptual options.
• Develop solutions to a wide range of technical problems.
• Must be willing to work in the field as necessary.
• Perform other duties as needed.
