Job summary

Atwell, LLC is seeking a Civil CAD Designer to support the design team on site in Reston, VA. You will serve as a resource for drafting practices and use AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce site layout, grading, stormwater, water and sanitary sewer plans, construction layout, and staking.

Review project survey data and documents (ALTA, easements, condo docs) and incorporate comments from municipalities and clients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; technical certificate or associate degree preferred.
• 4-10 years civil design experience in land development required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource for design staff regarding drafting practices, standards, and procedures.
• Produce civil engineering drawings including site layout, grading, storm sewer, water, sanitary sewer plans, construction layout, and staking.
• Review survey data to assess site conditions and ALTA, legal descriptions, easements, condo docs.
• Complete edits based on comments from municipalities, agencies, and clients.
• Communicate with Project Managers and Team Leaders on workflow to support chargeability and schedule goals.
