Job summary

LaBella Associates in Albany, NY is hiring an entry-level civil engineer to help turn infrastructure ideas into funded, designed projects. You’ll assist in site, roadway, stormwater, and utility designs and produce drawings, plans, and technical documents.

With 0–3 years of experience and an EIT or ability to obtain it within 12 months, you’ll participate in fieldwork, funding applications, and compliance with codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 0–3 years of experience.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Familiarity with Civil 3D preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing site, roadway, stormwater, and utility designs.
• Produce drawings, plans, cost estimates, and technical documents.
• Conduct site visits and assist with field investigations, construction observation, and data collection.
• Assist with project development activities including funding applications and program documentation.
• Help ensure municipalities comply with applicable codes, standards, permit requirements, and agency guidelines.
• Interpret local, state, and federal regulations related to stormwater, drinking water, land development, and public infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineers, planners, funding specialists, and program managers to advance client infrastructure goals.
• Help prepare technical analyses, reports, and supporting documentation for infrastructure funding and implementation initiatives.

Help turn infrastructure needs into funded, designed, and delivered solutions. Job Duties

• Assist in preparing site, roadway, stormwater, and utility designs.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000 per year.

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
