Job summary

A leading Civil Engineering and Land Surveying company seeks a designer/drafter to assist in drafting topographic surveys and creating construction plans using AutoCAD Civil3D. The role requires effective coordination with project teams and the ability to work on multiple assignments under tight deadlines. Ideal candidates will possess 2+ years of relevant experience and a technical design certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience drafting in AutoCAD Civil3D.

• Preferred technical degree or certificate, but experience is considered.

Job description

Responsibilities: Under the direction of an engineer or project manager, draft topographic surveys and build existing ground surfaces to be used as the foundation of proposed design. Create base drawings, develop proposed site layouts, and create grading & utility designs. Utilize existing topography and base drawings to draft construction plans & exhibits that conform to company standard styles, layers, and file structure. Coordinate closely with engineers, project managers, field crews, and other staff.

Qualifications: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, on multiple assignments, with challenging deadlines. Have a minimum of 2 years experience drafting in AutoCAD Civil3D, with design experience. A technical degree or certificate of completion from an accredited designer/drafter curriculum is preferred but not required depending on experience and abilities.
